The role has come about due to a permanent vacancy, and will cover whilst a permanent hire is made. Effectively the role is to support the FD of a rapidly growing/changing insurance firm.

YOU WILL NEED AN INSURANCE BACKGROUND TO BE SHORTLISTED FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY.

Key support will be needed through their year end process.

In addition this individual will have primary responsibility for the internal and external financial reporting activities and to manage a range of stakeholder relationships, including board level, UK and Group business partners, the external auditors and the regulators. The job holder will also be responsible for the Investment and Treasury function. The job holder will be required to deputise for the Finance Director on financial reporting matters as required

This will result in the delivery of consistent, competitive and sustainable propositions direct to customers, to brokers and those businesses seeking intermediated insurance solutions for their customers. Our key business objectives are to achieve top line GWP targets & to maintain low cost of production to preserve margin efficiency.

- The Financial Controller is a key member of the Senior Finance Leadership team and will be expected to make an impact on the wider Finance department.
- The role will need to build relationships with all key stakeholders - customers and suppliers, both internal and external.
- There is a particular emphasis on ensuring that the controls in place continue to be appropriate, mitigating the risks in the processes. These should be supported by adequate documentation and testing.
- The role will also champion the ongoing business process review, to ensure that operational efficiency is maintained.
- The job holder is expected to share their expertise fully across Finance as well as participate fully in the management of the Finance Directorate as well as being a role model for the company's values.
