Integrated Logistics Support Manager

Background
Our Central Government Client is currently recruiting for an Integrated Logistics Support Manager for a 6 month contract based in Bristol. The Integrated Logistics Support Programme will be managed in a manner that provides an appropriate level of confidence in system performance, which also de-risks the technical development of FLAADS and represents Value for Money. In doing so the post will be responsible for the production, development and management of the ILS plans and associated documentation.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
Main Objective/Purpose of the post:
The FLAADS-ILSM2 post will be jointly responsible for the management of the FLAADS ILS programme in both the Maritime and Land domains. Duties will be shared with the FLAADS-ILSM1 and will nominally split between Maritime and Land. The scope of this post will include management of the following FLAADS configurations. FLAADS Maritime. FLAADS Land This is a high profile programme delivering a major multi-service EPP programme replacing Seawolf (2016) and Rapier (2020). The Maritime programme is currently moving into the Manufacture phase and has a demanding schedule to achieve ISD in 2016.

Outputs/Deliverables to be achieved
Main/Specific Tasks:
Prepare the ILS strategy defining the resources and procedures necessary to manage the ILS programme; Develop a cost effective support plan using Supportability Analysis technique as part of the defined ILS strategy; Produce an ILS plan that conforms to the objectives of the ILS strategy, identifying the tasks and milestone to be achieved leading to the declaration of logistics readiness in accordance with MoD guidelines; Provide the interface for the FLAADS Land Team with all logistic support agencies; Provide the logistic support input to all FLAADS Land project papers, reports and submissions. Deliver an optimised support solution in concert with JSENS; Include supportability requirements in all plans and programmes, including TDPs, trials and Tender assessments; Provide the logistic input in to all reliability, maintainability and testability activities; Identify and define support funding for all supportability aspects throughout the equipments life cycle and seek inclusion in whole life costs bids and submissions; Assist the relevant capability/Requirements working groups in the development of the USE study; The FLAADS-ILSM2 will chair the Logistic Support Committee and LS/SA reviews and will ensure that supportability aspects are represented at Reliability Concept and Project Panels, Design reviews, Designated project meetings and working groups; Development and maintenance of a Through Life Management Plan with industry and other stakeholders.

It is highly desirable that you hold valid SC clearance however if you don't you must be eligible to go through this level of clearance.
