Infrastructure Support Technician Job

INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT TECH needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in King of Prussia, PA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Evaluate, implement, configure, support and maintain computer workstations and peripheral equipment, telecommunications equipment, and data network equipment, such that they function in a stable, secure, efficient manner.
- Assist and guide peers with more complex and elevated problem solving situations. Assist company engineering groups with problem solving. Resolving issues and supporting configuration issues for developers independently.
- Install and support computer workstations, peripheral hardware and software. Monitor, maintain, investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues reported by our users and support teams. Provide technical expertise to users, management, vendors and peers. Act as an end user liaison on behalf of the end user to troubleshoot user IT issues with other Company departments.
- Coordinate with the IT Server Engineering teams to troubleshoot, identify and resolve user issues that relate to Company corporate server infrastructure and end user computer systems and software.
- Coordinate with the IT Communications Engineering teams to troubleshoot, identify and resolve user issues that related to Company Network Communications and end user Network and Telecommunications systems.
- Coordinate with the IT Security Engineering teams to support the overall Company IT security plan. Support end users with corporate IT security policy compliance and virus remediation efforts.
- Coordinate with the Client Engineering teams to troubleshoot, identify and resolve user issues related to the user side computer systems, base software builds and software and update deployment.
- Work with external vendors to coordinate the installation and support of technical service agreements as well as hardware and software assets.
- Train other technicians and serve as an expert resource.
- Be available for travel assignments as needed.
- Be available for specific project assignments as needed.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Experience with supporting Dell desktops and laptops, MS Products some Adobe, as well as some MACs
- WinXP and Win7 hands on experience
- VM and AD experience would be a nice to have
- Three to five (3 - 5) years job related experience
- High School Graduate or GED
- Excellent technical analytic and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent knowledge of computer hardware engineering and repair
- Ability to troubleshoot, identify and resolve computer software problems
- Excellent knowledge of computer networking principles and practices
- Ability to communicate well with others
- Ability to handle multiple problems at one time with positive results

- Two (2) Year College Degree Preferred
- Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) Preferred
