Information Technology Vendor Manager Job

IT VENDOR MANAGER - needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's Client located in St Louis, Missouri

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Providing quantifiable improvements in supplier service while building strong vendor relationships.
- Managing and governing IT service providers in order to execute efficiently and to ensure we are receiving holistic IT services.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Provide thought leadership on Service Level Agreements (SLAs), collaborate with IT SME(s) and Procurement to establish Service Level agreements for IT suppliers, and manage vendors to meet or exceed their commitments.
- Manage vendor on-boarding and Contract/Risk Monitoring
- Define, set standards, monitor and report on performance management criteria.
- Gather service level metrics, analyzes the information and prepare vendor scorecard reports in collaboration with IT Procurement and IT SME(s).
- Collaborate with Embedded/tactical vendor managers across IT and Global Infrastructure to ensure vendor partners are effectively managed and contracts are fully leveraged.
- Team with IT Procurement to manage the overall evaluation, selection, transition and performance of contractual agreements for vendors of IT functions. This includes the use of benchmarking services available to Monsanto where appropriate.
- Notify Global Infrastructure and IT Procurement as vendor Issues arise.
- In collaboration with IT Procurement, conduct formal performance assessments for identified high impact vendors.
- In collaboration with SME and IT Procurement, participate in vendor-sponsored events which focus primarily on future products and services, industry trends, vendor partnering, vendor strategic direction and similar topics. This includes ensuring involvement of key stakeholders and process owners where appropriate
- Keeps apprised of projects and initiatives involving IT vendors.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE.

- The position requires 7-10 years IT experience
- Five - seven (5-7) years relevant IT vendor management experience
- A BS in Computer Science, Engineering, MSEE or Business
