Information Technology Technician Job

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TECHNICIAN needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in WELLSVILLE, NY.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Desktop/helpdesk support experience.
- DOD Security Clearance.
- Software/Hardware support experience.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Candidate will perform duties relating to the transition of assets into the company network.
- The project work location is Wellsville, NY and will begin in early October 2015 and should be completed on or before December 31, 2015. Travel to Chesapeake, VA and Chula Vista, CA may be required in December.
- Backup, image, and restore workstations using Microsoft Windows 7.
- Document and monitor IT incidents related to the transition.
- Track root cause of incidents and gather information from other areas to create trend tracking database, apply fixes and troubleshooting issues.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Knowledge of IT business needs; systems, software, hardware, and management information systems.
- Degreed in Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with desktop and related hardware support, disk imaging utilities, help desk ticketing software and enterprise antivirus software.
- Experience repairing and maintaining laptop and desktop computers.
- Good documentation organization skills.
- Experience with MS Office application suit.
- Must have the ability to work independently.
- DOD Secret clearance is preferred. An inactive clearance is acceptable as long as it is currently eligible for reactivation or transfer.
