Our client, based in a central Sydney location, has an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced registered nurse or midwife to join a friendly and dynamic clinical operations team in a newly created infection control consultancy position. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Operations, the Infection Control Consultant will be responsible for the development and implementation of Infection Control systems, policies and processes for our client's new state of the art hospital.

Key Responsibilities

- Development of organisational wide Infection Control Framework including clinical governance and leadership
- Develop the Infection Control framework, including: infection control clinical systems and leadership accountabilities to meet the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
- Develop the Infection Control policies and procedures that fulfil accepted National and State guidelines and maintain and improve patient centred care.
- Assist the clinical leadership team in articulating the objectives of the infection control programs so that they are clear and understood by staff at all levels of the organisation, including clearly defined roles and responsibilities within each position.

- Current AHPRA registration
- Highly developed Microsoft Package and Medical database skills
