HSE Engineer

A Renewable Energy client is looking for 1 - 2 HSE Engineers to work on their onshore substation at their site HSE department. Our client is looking for individuals who can start this role approx. 1st November 2015 up until 31st October 2017. Hours of work 8hrs per day 5 days per week, possibility of extra hours if required and flexibility as the site develops, occasional weekend shift maybe required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide HSE experience, guidance, inspection and audit in the installation & commissioning stages of the project
- Secure implement and usage of project HSE management system and related procedures internally and externally on the project
- Preparing & evaluation of HSE management systems and related procedures
- Supervise and control of selected contractors
- Activities risk assessments and method statements
- Health, safety, security and environmental arrangements
- Overall safety performance
- General responsibility for planning, executing and documenting HSE activities and results using agreed procedures
- Ad hoc activities as directed by site management
- HSE advice on areas of responsibilities
- Controlling the site incident management records from onshore site
- Assisting on monthly KPI reports from onshore site
- Supporting and coaching colleagues
- Initiate development of RA/MS needed for internal procedures

QUALIFICATION:

- Knowledge of relevant HSE legislation & CDM responsibilities to be able to give advice on areas of responsibilities
- GCSE level
- MS Office software

CERTIFICATIONS:

Completed five day IOSH course or equivalent or NEBOSH general or NEBOSH construction to certificate level.

- Advantage - Completed NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction to diploma level

SPECIAL PROVISION:

The Consultant must bring his/her own PC with Microsoft Office 2007 software of newer, and mobile telephone.
