HR Business Partner (6 Month Fixed term Contract)

Thales is recruiting a HR Business Partner for a 6 month fixed term contract to work within the Land and Air Systems business area in Basingstoke. The Business Partner will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of a full HR Service to specific areas of the division and will have responsibility for providing Human Resources support to key stakeholders and support functions. This position is a generalist HR role which will also require participation in project work across the HR function.

Key responsibilities:
Advise internal clients on key HR policies and procedures
Guide line managers on employee relations issues such as grievances, disciplinaries and absence management
Identify areas for employee development and run training workshops as appropriate
Interpret and provide recommendations for action on management information such as attrition statistics, absence and exit interview data
Advise line managers on absence and liaise with Occupational Health as appropriate
Drive the performance management process and advise managers to implement actions to improve performance
Assist and support all strategic HR or change projects

Key skills and experience required:
Previous experience of working as a HR generalist
Strong communication and influencing skills
Ability to develop relationships at all levels
Previous experience of delivering HR Projects
Studying towards, or having attained, CIPD or equivalent professional qualification

In line with Thales' security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment/education history for the past 3 years. This role requires enhanced security clearance to secret (SC) level. Candidates will be required to meet the criteria outlined above and seek Defence Vetting Agency clearance, which will be sponsored by Thales.
