You will provide a consistent and efficient People Management service to managers and staff, covering both advice and assistance, across key People result areas. You will be required to deliver professional support and advice across a wide range of HR issues as detailed in the job description below whilst also contributing to a process of improvement and change within the HR Department.
The ideal candidate would have the following experience:
*Substantial experience of HR/People Management within other public, private or voluntary sector organisations.
*Experience of HR organisational restructuring and change.
*Experience of negotiating with trade unions and working in a unionised environment.
*Experience of effectively implementing disciplinary, grievance, harassment, absence management, performance management and recruitment and TUPE processes.
*IT skills including Microsoft Office, HR Information systems, e-mail and Internet and the ability to analyse and present information using these tools in a variety of audiences.
*Knowledge of latest employment legislation and HR best practice.
*Good understanding of equality legislation.
*Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) membership and qualifications.
