To deliver generalist HR advice and support to an assigned business area within an operating unit and provide significant input into a range of complex projects. To develop an internal network in order to work effectively with the business area through coordination and partnership working with the Centres of Expertise and other HR Business Partners

Essential SKills:
*Broad knowledge and experience across the full spectrum of HR activities in order to provide a rounded service to the operating unit
*Influencing and communication skills in order to build strong relationships at all levels of the organisation and with a broad range of stakeholders
*Ability to analyse complex situation and make well-considered decisions quickly and confidently
*Experience of managing projects from initiation to implementation and review
*Educated to degree level and holds an HR qualification, together with demonstrable experience providing professional, risk-based advice, tailored to the needs of the business, ideally within a large, global or utility sector organisation

*Provide high quality, consistent, risk-based advice for all levels of management within the assigned business area for all matters related to the management of employees, acting as a trusted advisor to build a reputation as a credible, professional and flexible HR professional.
*Work with a range of specialist colleagues within the HR team and with the senior HRBP's in order to provide tailored, best practice solutions to business problems.
*Work with the business area to translate HR strategy into clear objectives that are aligned to the future needs and future goals of the business area in order to provide accurate and timely support that enables them to achieve their goals.
*Analyse key themes, trends (internal and external) and performance metrics in order to identify how different scenarios may impact on the business and make recommendations for moving forward.
*Undertake project work in order to address short to medium term developmental goals for the operating unit, with typical timescales of [3 - 6 months].
*Ensure compliance with policies and procedures in order to minimise the number of tribunals, grievances and complaints that occur because of breaches of procedure.
*Proactively seek opportunities to build their knowledge of their customer's business and requirements in order to provide tailored 'fit for purpose' advice.
