HR ADVISOR required to DEVELOP AND IMPROVE CURRENT END TO END RECRUITMENT AND RESOURCING ACTIVITIES for PUBLIC SECTOR CLIENT in EDINBURGH for 6 MONTH INITIAL CONTRACT.

Duties will include:

- Manage all recruitment and resourcing activities, including end to end campaigns, identifying and utilising assessment methods as appropriate
- Develop and improve existing resourcing framework, including development of online information
- Develop and improve administration associated with recruitment
- Develop in-house administrative capability
- Coach and develop a Modern Apprentice
- Work, in conjunction with HR colleagues, to develop and implement an improved on-boarding process
- Contribute to the implementation and ongoing development of an e-recruitment system
- Work with the business to understand and implement effective customer focused systems, processes and service delivery
- Deliver in-house recruitment and selection training to a wide range of people managers, as necessary
- Contribute positively to other HR and OD initiatives, as necessary

Experience required

- Proven ability to deliver multiple recruitment campaigns within a busy environment
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the requirements and considerations, both legislative and organisational, that relate to recruitment activity
- Proven ability to develop recruitment activities
- Previous experience of coaching and developing colleagues

Desirable Skills:

- CIPD qualified
- Knowledge and understanding of high levels of accountability that exist within the public sector in demonstrating open and fair recruitment and selection processes. This includes requirement to adhere to an organisation wide auditable process
- Knowledge and understanding of the Civil Service Recruitment Compliance Principles
- Knowledge and understanding of a wide range of HR and OD activities

Candidates will be expected to either already hold a valid Disclosure Scotland certificate or be willing and able to apply for one, prior to CV submittal to the client.
