HR ADVISOR - EDINBURGH - £124.90PD - 6 MONTHS

Our Edinburgh based client has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor for an initial 6 month contract.

The successful candidate will provide operational advice and assistance to managers across the full range of HR issues such as sickness absence, grievance, disciplinary, family friendly, terms and conditions and performance management.

You will also be responsible for:

- Management of local People-related projects as directed by HR Business Partner.
- Involvement in, and contribution to, People related projects, as directed by HR Business Partner or Head of HR.
- Contribute to the development, updating and implementation of HR policies and processes for use.
- Development and delivery of HR related training as and when required, in conjunction with the Learning and Talent Development Team.
- HR management of casework, acting as main point of contact locally for managers and staff with employment related issues.
- Provide advice and support to managers eg at disciplinary interviews/investigations or hearings.
- Coaching line managers through the management of a wide range of informal and formal casework, ensuring policy and practices are followed.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

- Appropriate CIPD qualification or be working towards this
- Up to date knowledge of current and future employment legislation/best practice and its practical application.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of best practice relating to equality and diversity.
- Sound knowledge of employee relations issues/policies/procedures.
- Working knowledge and good level of competence in the use of Microsoft office packages.
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding policies.
