HR ADVISOR/BUSINESS PARTNER

A fantastic new opportunity for an experienced HR Generalist to join a leading mobile operator. They are looking for someone to support departmental managers with the implementation of Company-wide people initiatives, functional people plan initiatives and the annual people calendar activities. The role holder will be aligned to Central Services or Customer Channels to support the delivery of functional people plan initiatives. Along with also supporting key cross functional initiatives across all business areas.

The position is being offered on a contract basis with a very competitive daily rate and is going to be based in the company's Berkshire office.

Role Responsibilities

- Facilitate the implementation of organisation wide people strategy initiatives with managers for each of the allocated initiatives.
- Work closely with People Business Partners, and other specialist areas within the People team to ensure resource and support is in place to deliver against the implementation plan.
- Coach and advise managers, providing robust challenge as required, through all elements of the HR life cycle where relevant to the initiative; developing skills, knowledge and confidence to encourage and affect the necessary change and deliver the desired business outcomes.
- Deliver the allocated key initiatives associated with the annual People Calendar processes, eg performance management, employee engagement survey, to time, cost and quality measures.
- Analyse HR Metrics to monitor and proactively manage people related key performance indicators and define strategies for improvement and management (eg sickness, attrition, ER case management etc.).
- Act as an internal consultant to facilitate and influence non transformational change programmes and HR initiatives within the business.
- Build and maintain relationships with specialist areas to affect mutual end to end understanding of key people deliverables and processes in the business.
- Share internal and external business and commercial knowledge across the wider People teams to provide 'best practice' HR advice
- Act as in internal facilitator and mediator as required.

Candidate Requirements

- Generalist HR experience in a fast moving environment.
- Previous experience within a HR role that has focused on delivering people strategy initiatives.
- Experience of leading and managing projects. Including delivering operational focused projects.
- Experience of facilitating and influencing decision making.
- Ideally Degree qualified and holds a CIPD qualification.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
