HR ADVISOR - HR SUPPORT, CUSTOMER SERVICES, CIPD

A HR Advisor with HR Support, Customer Services and CIPD experience/qualification is required to work on a six month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Portsmouth.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our clients' busy team as a HR Advisor. This is a generalist HR role with the opportunity to support and lead specific projects within the HR Team.

OVERVIEW OF THE HR ADVISOR CONTRACT ROLE

The HR Advisor is an integral part of the HR delivery team developing effective business relationships, understanding key business drivers and proactively developing and implementing appropriate innovative solutions, which will assist in executing business strategies and facilitate the achievement of business unit goals and HR strategies.

The HR Advisor will also be responsible for handling correspondence and dealing with enquiries from customers.

THE ROLE HOLDER WILL:

- Be the sole HR point of contact for the business area with an ability to act autonomy providing HR support and guidance to a variety of teams.
- Work closely with other members of the HR team to deliver a timely, accurate and effective HR service delivery to the functions.
- Develop effective business relationships and coach line managers; equipping them with appropriate tools and knowledge to create high performing teams.
- Support the HR Cyclical activities, including the management of any interfaces with other business units and functions; including resourcing, talent management, reward etc.
- Deploy HR Functional Governance.
- Lead on all Resourcing & Talent issues, including main interface with the Resourcing team

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE HR ADVISOR ROLE

- CIPD qualified or working towards
- Demonstrate strong employee relations skills
- Develop innovative solutions to resource management
- Demonstrate project management capability
- Have an ability to support organisational design and change management activities
- Develop high performing teams through talent and performance management

The role is based in Portsmouth, Hampshire - commutable from Southampton, Cowes, Isle of Wight, Salisbury, Winchester, Andover, Basingstoke, Guildford, Aldershot, Crawley, Horsham, Brighton, Worthing, Chichester.
