My key client in Conwy has an immediate requirement for a interim HR Advisor covering a busy period for 6 months. The ideal candidate will need to be passionate, intelligent and self-driven and be able to work under pressure and towards tight deadlines.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a HR Professional wanting to further their career.

Main Purpose of Role:

To support operations through the provision of HR advice and policy development to ensure the effective management of teams.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide HR Helpdesk telephone service to managers and staff - advice on Employee Relations and other Human Resource policies and procedures.
o Provide detailed advice on specific ER issues to managers eg discipline, grievance, short term and long term absence
o Leading on from telephone advice, provide checking service on letters and where necessary produce letters and written advice for managers to use
o Leading on from telephone advice and where necessary provide individual support to managers in the field.

* Develop and update policies and procedures to ensure effective management of people in line with Company direction and employment legislation.
o Keep up to date with current and impending employment legislation, and adapt and communicate.
o Draft new/rewrite existing policies and procedures and launch using the most appropriate communication method
o Produce standard letter templates in line with updated/new policies and procedures

* Dealing of grievance responses/liaise with Legal and Line Managers
o Keep up to date and accurate records of employment matters to ensure that the Company case is as strong as possible
o Respond to any Employment Tribunal applications in line with strict deadlines
o Liaise with Employment Tribunal offices, ACAS, employee representatives and solicitors about ongoing cases where appropriate
o Provide monthly updates about ongoing cases, company exposure, and strength of case

* Administration tasks and support to the Head of Operations HR
o Acknowledge appeals against disciplinary action and forward to the relevant manager
o Acknowledge complaints (verbal and written) received in the department and deal with/forward to the relevant manager.
o General team administration (shared with other team members)

* Adhoc project work as required

You will need to be a full generalist with a strong bias towards ER Casework, including leading on disciplinary and grievance meetings.

You will need full understanding of Recruitment and Selection, from advertising to shortlisting and interviewing, it would also be beneficial to have dealt with redundancies and be CIPD Qualified
