An exciting opportunity for a HR Advisor to join our team in Canary Wharf. Our client is looking for a HR Advisor for an initial 3 month contract. The day rate is £200-£250 p/d Dependent on experience.

HR ADVISOR

SPECIFIC TASKS:

- Primary contact for business benefit and administrative enquires
- Managing new starter process end to end, completion of new starter documentation including gaining references, producing paperwork and associated tasks in line with SLA's, ensuring background checks and health questionnaires are completed and making up of employee personal file. Enter data in Workday - review new hire & update new starter details, assign union code, benefits and pay group on day 1 arrival
- Reviewing the monthly end date report to ensure all probation periods are followed up in time and producing confirmation documentation Monitoring end date report to ensure all fixed term contract end dates are followed up in time to give notice or process an extension, escalating to HR Manager where applicable.
- Produce all job change paperwork including internal moves, salary increases and changes in benefits package in line with SLA's, once notifed via Workday.

GENERAL:

- Primary contact for enquires including benefits, policies and procedures
- Audit HR Advisor work and provide support to other HR Advisers if required.
- Ownership of Visa process including liaising with CMS and reviewing the monthly data to ensure all visa renewals are followed up in time to give notice or an application for a new visa is submitted, whichever is applicable. In addition, ensure that visa information recorded on Workday is up to date and accuate.
- Investigate benefit queries when raised.
- Support hearing managers on level 1 and 2 disciplinary and other employee relations case work as required by a Senior HR Advisor.
- Advise managers on managing underperformance up to informal capability stage.

FAMILY FRIENDLY POLICIES:

- Ownership of flexible working process including outcome documentation and follow up to ensure regular meetings take place in line with process. In addition, ensure all relevant documentation is produced and delivered, and the process is recorded on Workday.
- Ownership of the maternity and paternity processes, including initiation via Workday and submission of relevant forms to UK Payroll.

STARTERS:

- Present HR Induction with assistance from HR Administrator. Regularly reviewing the HR Induction in order to ensure that the presentation is up to date and provides accurate information.
- Ownership of the Welcome email. Ensure this is sent out as soon as an employee has email access.
- Advise managers on probation period queries including extensions. Manage this process with the manager ensuring regular meetings are held with the employee and enough notice is given if unsuccessful. Ensure written confirmation is provided to the employee stating the outcome of their probationary period.

LEAVERS:

- Distribute and conduct exit interviews accordingly.Except where termination is by way of redundancy, severance or due to death in service.

REDUNDANCY:

- Production of redundancy calculations and supporting employee documentation as well as separation initiation on Workday and partnering with Knowledge Experts in order to expedite.
- Ensuring we are SOX compliant in regards to redundancy.
- Update the redundancy tracker within 24 hrs of a change.
- Arrange and conduct individual redundancy consultation meetings.
