This is a System Administrator role to support and maintain HPC cluster hardware and software. Contact us right away to find out why CompuCom is the employer of choice for contractors!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Hardware to be supported includes rack-mounted Servers and workstations.

Duties revolve around assembling, testing and repairing this equipment.

Responsibilities include configuring software such as batch queuing software and operating system parameters for optimal performance, reliability, and availability.

System administration duties involve creating user accounts and resolving user issues.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

A+ certification or equivalent experience.

Ability to lift 50 pounds to a height of four feet.

2 year experience installing and managing the RedHat Linux operating system on a server

2 year experience administering a Linux server for multiple users

PREFERRED SKILLS:

RHCSA certification or equivalent CCENT certification of equivalent RHCE certification or equivalent CCNA certification or equivalent

At least 1 year experience administering Lustre

At least 1 year experience administering Panasas file systems

At least one year experience with InfiniBand networks

At least one year experience with MPI libraries, preferably Intel MPI Additional Industry training required (for facilities and construction)
