HPC DATACENTER ENGINEER RIO RANCHO, NM PART TIME CONTRACT POSITION

This is a Part Time System Administrator role to support and maintain HPC cluster hardware and software. Hardware to be supported includes rack-mounted Servers and workstations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Duties revolve around assembling, testing and repairing this equipment.
- Responsibilities include configuring software such as batch queuing software and operating system parameters for optimal performance, reliability, and availability.
- System administration duties involve creating user accounts and resolving user issues.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- A+ certification or equivalent experience
- Ability to lift 50 pounds to a height of four feet
- 2 year experience installing and managing the RedHat Linux operating system on a server
- 2 year experience administering a Linux server for multiple users

PREFERRED SKILLS:

- RHCSA certification or equivalent CCENT certification of equivalent RHCE certification or equivalent CCNA certification or equivalent
- At least 1 year experience administering Lustre
- At least 1 year experience administering Panasas file systems
- At least one year experience with InfiniBand networks
- At least one year experience with MPI libraries
