HP-UX Architect - 6 Month Contract

HP UX ARCHITECT

Global consultancy requires a HPUX Architect on a 6 month contract.

You will be involved in architecting, designing and implementing the HPUX based solution for small to enterprise customer environments including Superdomes, HP-RISC and Itanium based server architecture with HP MCSG local and metro cluster scenarios.

Responsibilities include:- - Providing transformation solution, approach, plan and implement the same with team of HPUX engr.
- Be able to make business case for solution provided
- Solution presentations to customer
- Sizing of HP hardware for superdome and Rx series Servers
- Design HPUX virtualization platform and migration
- Design the EMC based storage solutions for business continuity within and across data centers
- Well versed with design and installation of HP Hardware on Superdome and RP/RX server range for PA-RISC and Itanium architecture
- Well versed with design and installation of HP MCSG local and metro clusters.
- Knowledge on high level design and installation of EMC Storage
- Knowledge on troubleshooting complex issues/problem in HPUX environments
- Knowledge of SAN and NAS technologies concepts
- Knowledge and experience of server refresh and migration project based on HP platforms
- Knowledge on Data Migration tools
- Sizing of HP hardware for superdome and Rp series Servers

Skills required include:

- Extensive experience in installing, upgrading, and maintaining HPUX environment with cluster setups
- Good understanding of HP PA RISC and Itanium based hardware
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Good customer service and communication (oral and written) skills. Ability to deliver professional engagement documentation.
