We are currently searching for a Honeywell Specialist/Application Specialist to work in The Hague, the Netherlands untill 17-02-2014 plus extensions. This is a fantastic contract opportunity for a large multi-national client.

The ideal candidate must have the following skills:
Role:
The purpose of the Application Specialist (AS) role is to own the design and the functional integrity of the OMpro application. OMpro is the Alarm Management and Business Flex systems provided by Honeywell andconsists of 6 elements
-ACM is the Alarm Configuration management tool and is the core repository of all alarm related configuration parameters of the Distributed Control Systems (DCS) of the operational plants
-AEA is the Alarm Event Analysis tool for operations to monitor alarm events from the DCS systems
-UA is the User Alert tool which can generate alarm alerts to endusers via email, pager, etc.
-Operations Logbook (OL) is an electronic log that provides shift summary reports, tracks daily operations and improves process and plant reliability
-Operating Instructions (OI) helps users establish and manage the daily operating plan and is part of the Business FLEX family of software applications as well as the OM Pro suite
-Operations Monitoring (OM) helps users track operating performance against targets, systematically carry out data monitoring and highlight problem areas.

The Application Specialist will work in a Global team with colleagues located on various Downstream production locations.

The Application Specialist (AS) is responsible for the resolution of escalated urgent/complex issues to ensure business continuity. This will include coordinating coding, testing, and promotion to the production environment for all changes to the application.

The AS acts as functional SME in projects, and can be part time or Full time seconded to projects to help develop deployment toolkits, perform testing, deploy the product at sites and so on.

Additionally the AS is responsible for managing appropriate relationships with all stakeholders (both business and IT) as well as serving as a liaison to the functional support groups responsible for PI.

Experience:
Technical Skills and Experience: The principle accountabilities are: - Work on severity 1 & 2 incidents for a specific application functional area for a defined set of critical business applications (standard incident management work is performed by TLS/offshore team) - Perform application design for discretionary work for enhancement requests including application functionality, data structures as it relates to the application and application security - Ensure work done is clearly identified as run and maintain or approved discretionary
