Test and verification engineer (Some home working available!)

Duration: 6 months

I am looking for a test verification engineer to work for a company who supply to huge defence company's.

The client is happy for you to fit 37/40 hours in 4 days to help with travel along with sometimes working from home.

- The work will include the development of testing solutions using C for CAN (particularly MilCAN-A and MilCAN-B), RS422 & RS232 and the verification of parameters using a range of electronic test equipment.
- An important part of the work will include the generation of reports and the documentation of the results for presentation to the Company's clients.
- The successful applicant will be familiar with working in accordance with a quality system conforming to ISO9001 and preferably AS9100.

Essential skills:

Thorough knowledge of CAN Bus implementations, preferably including MilCAN-A and/or MilCAN-B, with at least 3 years' experience of these protocols.

Experience of using C++

Good communication skills to work within a small engineering team to achieve specified requirements within short timescales

Use and application of Systems Engineering technical standards (eg Def Stans and MIL-STDs), principles, theories, concepts and techniques

Ability to apply a thorough and methodical approach to testing, verification and validation activities

Knowledge of Electrical engineering and some appreciation of mechanical engineering principles

Rate: £35 - £40 per hour on site
