HNAS (HDS) Engineer/Adminstrator - Dublin - £370/€525 per day

HNAS (HDS) ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR

SKILLS REQUIRED: HNAS experience, Windows permissions experience, migration experience, DNS experience, and able to work well under pressure and with little guidance or supervision.

The candidate would be expected to have a grasp of how Active Directory pertains to CIFS-based NAS.

GENERIC SCOPE:

Primary Job Focus Areas

- Document the SAN, network, Windows AD, and HDI and HCP environment for 20+ locations
- Manage (in conjunction with HDS team) an aggressive schedule of HDI implementations
- Multi-task implementation schedules
- Work closely with HDS engineering, account team, eBay, GSS and CS&S to guarantee success
- Coordinate weekly status calls/meetings

Technical Qualifications

- Experience with NAS Filers (HDI if possible)
- Experience with Hitachi Content Platform (if possible)
- Expert level Windows Administration experience, with specific expertise in the following areas:
- DFS administration and design
- Active Directory
- DNS
- NTFS Permissions
- Specific experience with CIFS Data Migration - knowledge and experience using client-based migration tools
- Experience with NetApp
- Performance monitoring
- Ability to decipher an autosupport
- General understanding of the platform and WAFL file system
- Understanding of the NetApp protocol security styles
- TCP/IP Networking
- Storage and Storage Area Networking knowledge. Preferably Hitachi Storage Subsystems and Brocade Networks
- Familiarity with Hitachi Storage Management Tools
- Basic Linux background
