Help Desk Associate Job

HELP DESK ASSOCIATE needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in ALPHARETTA, GA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Must have basic understanding of WAN/LAN networks, routing fundamentals, knowledge of transmission principles
- Must have basic understanding of Open Systems
- Able to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with Switches and Routers

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Handles more complex problems or malfunctions of systems application, hardware and software.
- Responsible for day to day operations of Help Desk and some analysis on call volume.
- Recognize, research, isolate and resolve information systems problems.
- Coordinate referrals to appropriate technical, professional or service personnel for appropriate services, repairs, training, and follow-up
- Monitors and responds to events on network and Servers and troubleshoots and resolves network and server incidents
- Responds to incoming calls from Information Services (I.S.).
- Assist with resolving incidents and events.
- Takes actions to stabilize or failover network or application to normalize the conditions.
- Interprets computer generated messages, determines appropriate actions, and follows standard procedures.
