Health & Safety Project Coordinator

Health & Safety Project Coordinator required by my Financial Services client based in Croydon.

The successful Health & Safety Project Coordinator will be responsible for leading H&S procedures and requirements under the HSE department for CDM projects, policing and prohibiting any works or activities deemed to carry to much risk to people, environment etc as well as audit and management of contractors.

The Health & Safety Project Coordinator will also provide support in the following areas:

* Health & Safety
* Permit procedures and approvals
* Support for Moves and Projects team
* Contractor Management
* Audits
* Property Risk Assessments
* Building monitoring
* Contractor Control
* Health and Safety Policies
* Emergency incident response

In order to be successful the Health & Safety Project Coordinator will need to have the following experience:

1. A relevant NEBOSH certificate with solid experience in a Health & Safety role.

2. Proven experience in CDM Projects.

3. Be a professional member of IOSH or equivalent.

4. Have an understanding of property engineering and building systems.

5. Be able to demonstrate experience of and skills in managing their own Health & Safety portfolio in an operational based environment.

6. Ability to travel to any EMEA location at short notice and stay overnight if required.

7. Demonstrate an understanding of high risks for Health, Safety & Environment and their relevance to statutory requirements.

8. Have experience of developing and delivering audit and monitoring programme for Health, Safety & Environmental programmes run by third party suppliers.

9. Demonstrate good interpersonal skills including the ability to sell/persuade the business of the importance of Health, Safety & Environment to the wellbeing of the organisation.
