Health & Safety Development Manager

ROLE PURPOSE

Support the Divisional Director with the delivery of the initial stages of the Five Year Health, Safety & Wellbeing Plan.

KEY TASK & DELIVERABLES

- Manage discrete projects from the Five Year Health, Safety & Wellbeing Plan as agreed with the Divisional Director
- Prepare reports required for the Board, Executive and all Safety Committees within agreed timescales
- Implement processes to improve data capture to ensure that the right information is captured at the right time
- Support incident investigation and close out of remedial actions
- Support restructuring activities
- Promote safety leadership throughout the organisation
- Develop capacity, capability, expertise and professionalism within the Directorate.
- Build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, influence across boundaries and inform policy making.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum of 3 years experience of working at a strategic management level in a relevant role.
- 5 years experience working in Senior Health and Safety Leadership position
- Experience within the construction industry is desirable
- Experience of developing H&S Safe Systems of Work
- Project management experience
- Experience of developing high performing teams
