BUSINESS PROCESS CONSULTANT (HEALTH CARE)

CONTRACT: 4 months (W2)

LOCATION: Pasadena, CA

CLIENT: One of the country's largest health care and health plan providers

DEPARTMENT: Patient Business Services

TRAVEL REQUIRED:

- Occasional travel may be required to Oakland, CA

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Must be familiar with Lean methodology and experienced in leading large scale projects working across multiple functional groups.
- Extensive business process improvement skills, and able to quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Must be proficient in statistics software and able to analyze large amounts of data.
- Must possess excellent verbal, written, persuasion and selling skills as well as strong presentation and leadership skills.
- Ability to work with senior management and with functional and site leaders to identify, develop and deploy process improvements.
- Develops and delivers quality and process improvement training modules.
- Coaches and mentors others leading improvement projects.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Makes recommendations on appropriate solutions based on research
- Assist with business design improvements for HealthConnect/EPIC
- Acts as liaison, problem solver and facilitator
- Plans and facilities meetings
- Provides staff leadership to multi-disciplinary teams
- Makes formal presentations to various senior level audiences

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

- BA or BS in related field; MBA preferred
- Minimum 4+ years' direct relevant experience - process improvement, management consulting, change management or related business
- Expertise in health care provider or integrated health care system revenue cycle operational processes and systems
- Advanced knowledge of process improvement methodologies
- Detailed knowledge of HealthConnect and the use of and proficiency with EPIC in context of revenue cycle operations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Advanced presentation skill to include proficiency in Visio, PowerPoint
- Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
