My Bristol based client is looking for a Health and Safety Advisor/Public Sector Health and Safety Advisor.

The Directing Board have stated that the H&S of people is a priority particularly as staff work in a wide variety of environments on a nationwide basis. It has identified its Risk Appetite for Health & Safety as 'Minimalist' (a commitment to ultra safe options that have a low degree of inherent risk)
A review has taken place and a range of tactical improvements have been made. However, there is a requirement to fully review and redevelop the client's overarching H&S strategy.
The Health and Safety Advisor/Public Sector Health and Safety Advisor will be required to develop a new H&S Strategy and make recommendations as to how this should be taken forward and what the H&S reporting structure should be within the organisation. This will include a full review of our current approach and a potential re write of our:

H&S Arrangements.
Organisational responsibilities
Approach to Measuring & Monitoring performance and the organisation's H&S culture
Consultation & Communication
Managers Guidance

Skills needed for the Health and Safety Advisor/Public Sector Health and Safety Advisor:

*Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health
*Experience of successfully developing and implementing strategy and policy to achieve high level objectives
*Experience of Stakeholder management, developing and implementing engagement strategies and Communications Plans.
