HEAD OF MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS, UK & IRELAND - MATERNITY COVER (9-12 MONTHS) - LONDON - TO £60K PRO RATA

This is an excellent opportunity to join a global corporate travel bookings brand in their UK offices in Hammersmith, London. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the marketing strategy for the UK & Ireland division, along with building and retaining relationships with clients.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- 5+ years B2B marketing experience
- Strong degree in marketing or similar
- Copywriting - creativity in writing, accuracy in proofing and editing
- Interpersonal & communication skills - build and maintain strong relationships across teams and with clients, locally and globally
- Experience of managing suppliers
- Experience of line management
- Strategic and interconnected thinking, thinking out of the box, empathy
- Ability to simplify complex topics
- Understanding of the business travel industry (hotel distribution, ways of distribution and interdependencies) is desirable
- High dedication to an innovative company in the "challenger position on the UK market

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead generation: responsible for data sourcing, marcomms, and generating leads across client segments. Work closely with Sales & Account Management Director to target, generate and allocate leads.  Manage Lead generation remit of Account Support Manager.
- Campaign management: from conception to delivery, tailored by client segment to create brand awareness and generate leads for sales & account management team.  Success measurement and reporting.
- PR, advertising and brand guardianship:  Ensure brand is properly represented externally, manage PR agency to deliver brand positioning within the market and position brand as number 1 in corporate travel, launch brand in Ireland. Manage day to day press enquiries with agency, approve releases and organise spokesperson. Manage ad hoc PR projects with agency in line with PR strategy.
- Website: management of website, content including up to date facts and figures and steady stream of news, videos and infographics for news and blog section, design, work with HQ appointed SEO agency
- Collateral: creation and maintenance
- Management of design agency to create campaigns, marketing collateral and client comms within strict brand guidelines
- Account management comms: Support implementation and drive adoption among existing clients - general written communications, specific client by client approach
- Participate and contribute to UK management meetings
- Refine marketing plan and budget
- Budget control: monitor expenditure in line with budget set at beginning of the year, provide monthly forecasts
- Events: management of brand presence at key trade exhibitions, seminars, workshops for industry and partners (some abroad). Includes presentation writing, MD briefing, Account Management team briefing, leads follow up, ROI measurement
- Events: self-hosted - lunches, breakfasts for key industry groups
- One direct report: Senior Marketing Executive

This role would suit someone with prior B2B experience in the corporate travel sector, who is able to hit the ground running within a fast-paced environment. The salary will be up to £60k (pro rata) depending on your level of experience.
