Head of Low Carbon Investment - Edinburgh - 4 Months

HEAD OF LOW CARBON INVESTMENT - EDINBURGH - 4 MONTHS

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced project manager who has detailed knowledge and background in the low carbon investment sector (including energy efficiency, waste, heat, transport, renewable energy)

You will be required to lead work on the development of low carbon and industrial energy efficiency investment projects including their finance and work with industry and investors to identify opportunities for investment in the sector, developing projects and assisting to identify routes to funding and project development.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

-

Current knowledge and understanding of the low carbon investment sector, across all areas (including energy efficiency, waste, heat, transport, renewable energy)

-

Ability to establish and build relationships with stakeholders such as Scottish project development, finance and investment communities.

-

Experience of delivering, or having a key role in facilitating the delivery of large scale project investment preferably in low carbon, infrastructure or property sectors.

-

Experience of successfully working with smaller projects to develop scale and ambition through aggregation or collaboration in order to attract large scale investment.

-

Track record of successful senior level influencing/negation and relationship management.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

-

Experience of line management responsibilities, including managing team resources to deliver projects effectively.

Experience in one or more of the following industries - finance, investment, construction or property.

Experience of working with central government or its agencies in an economic development capacity.

Candidate will be expected to hold A BASIC DISCLOSURE SCOTLAND issued in the last 12 months or be happy to undergo this clearance.
