Head Of IT Procurement

My clients a Financial Services organisation based in the city of London URGENTLY seek a Head of IT Procurement, temp - perm.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation as they go a significant change programme.

Working with the Global CPO you will lead a small team and play an integral part in shaping strategic direction of global procurement as the lead specialist for end to end IT sourcing. However there is a real drive for operational delivery and a commitment to adding value and leading by example.

Responsible for a significant amount of annual spend at c.100million this will be a varied and challenging role which mixes operational and strategic deliverables covering:

-Delivery of cost saving initiatives
-Vendor risk assessments
-Management of competitive bid processes
-Executing global procurement initiatives
-Working with key Financial and Legal stakeholders
-Developing a business aligned purchasing strategy
-Market researching and benchmarking
- Stakeholder engagement

The ideal candidate will be an experienced IT Procurement professional who is likely to meet the following criteria:

-Extensive end to end IT Procurement expertise across Hardware, Software , Telecommunications, Networks, Outsourcing & IT managed Services
-MCIPS Qualified/ Strong Educational background - advantageous
-Excellent stakeholder management - must be a passion and expert negotiator
- Delivery focussed
-Strong analytical & problem solving ability
-Global experience
- Line management experience
