HEAD OF INSIGHT (DEPUTY DIRECTOR/INSIGHT LEAD)

My client is a global marketing consultancy looking for a Head of Insight to come and lead their analytics division in driving their fast growing business forward.

You would be responsible for creating actionable insights from customer behaviour, trends and characteristics through analytics, data mining and statistical modelling.

THE ROLE:

- You will be fully responsible for all aspects of insight and analytics across both the CRM and Insight and Analytics client
- Work closely with the CRM client to help understand how CRM activities deliver value and drive towards the strategic goals
- Work closely with Analytical and Insight client to help deliver a strategic analytics roadmap which brings together all the clients data, and allows them to use all this information to become a learning organisation
- You will be responsible for driving CRM measurement framework and analytical methods to evaluate the success of the current programme and theories and ideas of how future programmes may be evaluated
- Working with the Analytics and Insights client you will create and drive their analytical roadmap, advising and directing on what data they need, what analysis they need to conduct and how to answer global and local business questions
- Excellent communication skills and proven success of collaborating with senior stakeholders, supported by examples of pro-active attitude, driving projects forward and delivering to plan
- Demonstrating a deep understanding of analytical methods and processes with the ability to identify, develop and activate insights from different data sets.
- Use analytical knowledge to deliver high quality, actionable insight
- Develop and demonstrate a strong understanding of the market, the commercial environment and drivers of business performance. An acute awareness of Shell's strategic and business CRM objectives is key
- Manages a team of insight and reporting analysts to deliver insight and reporting in a timely and accurate manner
- Manage insight requests, and working with the data strategist, deliver strategic and tactical solutions which positions the client as innovators
- You'll be responsible for ensuring high quality output from your team. Output will always be accurate and actionable, with appropriate technical expertise and recommendations

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Proficient in SAS and other analytical tools
- Inspiring presentation skills, able to present complex information fluently and make data interesting
- Able to translate business needs and requirements to analytical briefs
- Leadership and management skills
- Well-developed numeracy skills
- High level analytical skills
- High level Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Ability to manage analysts
- 10 years analytical experience
- 5 years working knowledge of SAS (EG, BASE)
- 5 years marketing and particularly CRM insight and analytics
- A numeric or science degree
