Head Of Governance and Risk

The project:

To ensure that there is a robust governance framework to support the

corporate activities of the Clinical Commissioning Group (Shadow). This

will include supporting and advising the Business Manager to ensure

maintenance of the Board Assurance Framework(s) to ensure full

compliance with internal and external governance and best practice

requirements and that these are live documents which inform

prioritisation and decision making.

The role:

To lead on the development of a Corporate Risk Management Strategy and

systematic risk management assessment processes for clinical and

non-clinical risks in commissioned services.

Ensure appropriate systems are in place for the reporting, management

and investigation of incidents.

To keep abreast of changes to systems across the whole organisation and

ensuring ongoing high level engagement in managing risk across the

organisation.

To ensure that Business continuity plans are in place across the CCG in

partnership with the local public sector and other NHS bodies in the

sector/ across London and ensure that commissioned services/provider

bodies are fulfilling their responsibilities appropriately

The Candidate:

The successful applicant will have significant experience of leading

corporate governance within the NHS, and in-depth knowledge of the

national requirements and expectations for corporate governance

processes. Knowledge of DH, other relevant guidance, and statutory

requirements relating to risk management and information governance is
