Projektbeschreibung

ROLE PURPOSE:

The UK Management Accounting Team is part of the UK Finance Operations Group and is primarily responsible for the production of the EMEA Management Accounts including the global allocation of infrastructure costs. UK Finance Operations provides full accounting services to the EMEA businesses.

Responsible for Management accounting of the EMEA Broking, Electronic, Shipping, Post Trade services in addition to the global allocation of all infrastructure costs.

The role is a head of department position with accountability for the production and delivery of accurate and timely management accounts through the daily management of the four team managers who head up the Revenue, Direct Costs and Compensation.

The role will be instrumental in maintaining a tight control environment whilst helping to deliver the end goals of finance projects. This is a fixed term contract role reporting into the Director of Finance Operations (UK).

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Provide managerial support to the senior accountants heading up the four principal accounting teams; Revenue Accounting, Cost Accounting, Compensation Accounting and Global Allocations. This will include, but not limited to, recruitment, PDPs, succession planning and personal development.
- Identify and deliver process improvements and continuously drive change, focusing on developing productivity and efficiency in a controlled environment.
- Develop synergies and efficiencies within the management accounting teams with a view to developing cover amongst individuals and across teams
- Ensure that the UK and EMEA business partnering team receive timely and accurate management accounting information. This will require close cooperation with the business partnering team to define expectations and to develop delivery in line with these expectations.
- Review timetables for timely management accounts delivery
- Coordinate communication in relation to budgeting and forecasting deliverables and deadlines
- Manage the process implications across the management accounting teams once acquisitions have become BAU (approximately 6 months post acquisition)
- Build a rapport with opposite counterparts in overseas finance operations where relevant to foster best practice sharing.
- Develop business relationships with peers across other support functions to ensure process/system improvements result in the accuracy and automation of data received into Finance.
- Complete transition of activities within UK finance operations
- Fulfil any relevant additional/ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

- Experience of Oracle Financials and Hyperion (HFM, Essbase and Enterprise) preferred
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
- Proven post qualification experience in a financial operations environment, not necessarily gained in the financial services sector, but relevant experience is essential.
