Head of Finance, Asset Management, FP&A, Financial Control

Projektbeschreibung

Our client, a top tier bank, requires a Head of Finance who will be responsible for oversight, financial control and financial planning and analysis support for the European region within their Asset Management division.

Key responsibilities include:

*Provide timely financial support and MI and act as a value adding business partner to the regional CEO and respective Executive Committees
*Development of robust peer analysis
*Ensure appropriate processes and controls are in place and ensure appropriate review of the financial control of the Asset Management statutory entities
*Critically evaluate the performance of business initiatives, developing proposals and scenarios to support the decision process
*Drive strategic cost management activities with regional COO
*Preparation of regional capital plans and regular review of capital structure and efficiency, ensuring regulatory capital requirements are not breached.
*Lead pricing and business profitability analysis, to include support for new product launches

KNOWLEDGE
*Integral part of a team providing performance and financial management, control and support to senior management.
*Previous experience of analysing and interpreting results
*Technical accounting knowledge, which can be used to interpret and apply policies to new situations/products.
*A high level of accounting and analytical skills will be required at this level.
*Experience of financial control processes and procedures.
*Knowledge of asset management products and related regulatory, legislative and competitor environment.

EXPERIENCE
Qualified accountant with experience in a variety of FP&A and financial control roles.

SKILLS
Management skills to include:
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate well with all levels of staff, including senior and/or executive management, to include strong business writing skills.
*Proven ability to meet tight reporting deadlines.
*Ability to prioritise and solve complex problems.
*Strong understanding of business issues and the drivers of business performance.
*Self-confidence and credibility in representing the department.
*Self-motivated and capable of working effectively as part of a team.
*Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a commercial bias.
*Supervisory skills and sensitivity to other staff, works well in teams.
*Proven influencing skills.
*Good understanding of the regulatory and legislative framework.
*Proven management and leadership skills.
