Hardware Engineer

HARDWARE ENGINEER (9 months project in Zurich, Switzerland)

You are an experienced System Administrator or Engineer? You know how to maintain IT systems and relevant infrastructure end to end? You are experienced in HW deployment ? Do you understand business priorities and can adequately prioritise work accordingly to meet business objectives?

We're looking for someone like you to:

- You are experienced in the HW installation and configuration/setup process
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Participate in global hardware deployment roll out project and can deliver goals in timely manner
- Ability to work autonomous and independently on project deliveries
- Drive for automating repetitive tasks and implementing automated procedures.
- Communicate and collaborate with other internal partners for designing, planning and coordination of implementation to ensure work is completed in a timely manner.
- Work closely with engineering on enhancements and improvements as new scenarios are discovered during the process
- Willing to work out of business hours in some cases

You'll be working in the Zurich office as a part of Windows and UNIX Support Team. Your role is to roll out, setup and configure new infrastructure systems and services, to coordinate maintenance activities. The candidates will need to be component at being able to follow deployment & configuration instructions for the appliances and help work with engineering on troubleshooting any issues related to deployment

You should have:

- Experience in working in companies with large-scale computing environment.
- Solid understanding of a UNIX (Solaris), Linux and Windows based operating systems Good troubleshooting skills
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP Networking
- Scripting skills (Shell, Python, Perl).
- Prior industry experience is not mandatory, though will be considered an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
