Hadoop Support Engineer

Hadoop Support Engineer wanted for our Zurich based client in the banking sector. Your experience/skills: Bachelor or Master degree in Informatics, Computer Sciences or equivalent 5 years of experience as Linux engineer preferably with a Cloudera Hadoop certification and working experience in Banking or Financial Services Prior experience in Production Support Familiarity with UNIX and Windows servers as well as solid comprehension of SQL syntax (select, joins, deletes) Competent handling of Hadoop and Big Data based tools and technologies along with Java applications, additional experience with Palantir would be advantageous Languages: fluent English both written and spoken, German would be a plus Your tasks: Monitoring business applications and services in production, handling incident tickets and customer calls as well as taking responsibility for batch job monitoring and troubleshooting Collating data feeds, checking for errors and writing and running scripts on DB for ad hoc reports Administrating applications and components on Windows and Unix servers Organising software release and problem management Coordinating Disaster Recovery Testing Start: ASAP Duration: 12MM+ Location: Zurich, Switzerland Ref.Nr.: BH12054 Does this sound like an interesting and challenging opportunity to you?
