LOCATION: Garstang, Lancashire

JOB TITLE: Graphic Designer - 12 month maternity cover but with the possibility of a permanent role due to continued growth

Our client has years of experience in the industry and vast knowledge across an array of sectors and provide customers with high quality solutions to boost their marketing efforts.

THE ROLE: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graphic Designer for a 12 month maternity contract. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the purpose of the position is to generate all graphics for customer orders requiring artwork set up, proof artwork supplied, ensuring everything is sent to production within required lead times.

Key Responsibilities to include:- -

To work with Marketing Manager on internal brand as required

Check quality of customer supplied artwork
-

Liaise with customers regarding required artwork
-

Take design briefs from customers
-

Design artwork for customers as required by customer briefs
-

Carry out all pre-production checks on artwork
-

Ensure customer sign off for all design and artwork
-

Proof all artwork
-

Ensure all artwork is fit for print according to customer specifications
-

Release customer orders for print
-

Work with colleagues to progress customer orders effectively
-

Keep abreast of emerging technologies in new media

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and talented Graphic Designer. You will possess a natural flair for graphic design, and have the ability to understand and translate information effectively. As a member of the team you will produce high quality creative graphic design whilst working under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Graphic Design qualification

In depth working knowledge of design programs especially Adobe Creative Suite (mainly Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, Acrobat Pro)

Ability to think creatively

Excellent command of written English with copy accuracy

Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines

Own transport is essential due to rural location
