GIS Analyst

Yoh has an EIGHT (8) month CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY for a GIS Analyst to join our client in HOUSTON, TEXAS.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Must be able to search the Internet to locate and download Geographical Information Systems (GIS) from county or city websites.
- Must be able to modify and run queries in MS Access
- Must be able to download data into Excel, modify formulas, link cells, etc.
- GIS Mapping skill set is a plus
- Understand basic GIS concept
- Familiar with ArcGIS desktop
- Understand map projections, coordinate systems
- Implement spatial join
- Query by location/attribute
- Produce map book
- Search online for GIS data

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Detailed and task oriented in a team environment, quick learner
- Proficient in MS Access (intermediate), MS Excel (intermediate) and MS Internet Explorer (or other Internet browser)
- Edit Shapefiles, file geodatabase
