Freedom of Information Act Professional - Secret Clearance

Yoh has a contract to hire opportunity for a FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT PROFESSIONAL to join our client in Arlington, Virginia.

POSSESSION OF A SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED AS A CONDITION FOR EMPLOYMENT.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Providing data entry and completing reporting requirements.
- Gathering all responsive documents and providing document scanning and conversion services.
- Preparing correspondence such as submitter notices, fee letters, and third party authorization letters.
- Redacting material responsive to FOIA exemptions.
- Reviewing each FOIA response and providing consultations, guidance, and training as well as collaborating with the requester.

Job Qualifications:

- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a FOIA processing role
- Experience in Records Management
- Bachelor's Degree in an Information Management or Business related field is highly desired; experience may be substituted for degree.
- Hands-on experience supporting FOIA processing/requests is a MUST.

Preferred Job Skills/Experience/Knowledge:

- Certifications relative to Records Management such as Certified Records Manager and/or NARA Certifications are highly desired.
- Demonstrated experience with FOIA Express is a STRONG PLUS.
