Financial Modeller

My Central Government Client have a requirement for a financial modeller to support the development of business cases as part of a large scale IT transformation project and to provide a consistent methodology to investment/disinvestment decisions as well as effective end to end modelling and reporting solutions to ensure technical solutions are robust and sustainable.

Requirements:

Develop financial models using leading practice methodology to enable options to be assessed.

The outputs from the models should be in the form of data, charts and graphs to support decision making and will include:

Impact on Income and Expenditure: derived from the assumptions and related calculations (as adjusted for capital expenditure).

Impact on cash flow:

derived from the Income and Expenditure (and adjusted to include capital expenditure) using assumptions relating to when payments will be made or income received.

Impact on Balance Sheet:

derived from income and expenditure, cash flow statement and capital expenditure

Sensitivity analysis:

to enable potential scenarios to be tracked

NPV and discounted cashflow
Models must be flexible to accommodate future revisions

Leading practice to include:

Segregated inputs, calculations and outputs
Outputs traceable to inputs
Hard coded areas restricted to input areas
Validation checks
Protectively locking areas which are critical to its functionality
Criteria
Proven experience of financial modelling using full functionality of Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of Treasury's Business Case requirements, Managing Public Money and the FReM and SAP an advantage

Candidates will ideally hold valid Security clearance or be willing to undergo vetting
