FINANCE ANALYST - BANKING - REDRESS & REMEDIATION

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Analyst to be based in Manchester for a 3 month++ contract. Rate is negotiable.

This role is working on a Risk & Remediation programme for a major FS client.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

- Populate the data excel file. Setting up timelines, process notes and getting 'buy in' from the key data providers.
- Set up any MI needed from the 'golden source' hence the need for reasonable excel skills.
- Manage various stakeholders to understand MI requirements and timelines.
- Define financial reconciliation processes relating to redress payments.
- Financial reconciliations between ledger and customer data to ensure redress payments reconcile and provision can be released.
- Cover month end responsibilities where needed, forecasting, raising accruals.
- Support the PO process ensuring all PO's are raised appropriately.
- Support the resource tracking process, ensuring that all headcount are in the forecast.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Finance Analysis experience and willingness to be hands-on and use their own initiative.
- Good excel skills.
- Knowledge of PO processes and Oracle not essential but would be a good asset.
- Experience of developing MI and populating the excel database with inputs from the programme silo teams.
- Experience in financial reconciliations for redress payments in terms of both setting up the process and doing the reconciliation.
- Qualified/Part qualified Financial Accountant.
