Engineering Technician

We are looking for a qualified Technician to perform validation testing, debug, and maintenance of test and lab equipment for our high-visibility client.

OVERVIEW

- Provide test execution support for validation test suites.
- Set up systems, execute tests, re-run if necessary
- Roll up data logs and prepare sightings for bug database
- May be involved in troubleshooting and debugging system and test failures
- May be involved in analysing test results, comparing performance results with baselines and expectations, and summarizing data analysis

REQUIREMENTS

- Must possess at least 4 years of experience as Validation or Engineering Technician
- Must possess at least 2 years of experience modifying and developing Python scripts
- Extensive test execution experience, especially with automated test environments
- Must have experience following instruction documents to execute tests
- Hands-on experience building and configuring PCs from components, and troubleshooting issues
- Experience with Linux (both RedHat and SUSE)
- Experience with defect tracking databases
- Must be detail oriented
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-directed, but works well with team
- Ability to adjust to changes quickly

This contract position is expected to be 6 months with possibility of extension.
