Engineering Research Technician II

Yoh has a contract opportunity for an ENGINEERING RESEARCH TECHNICIAN II to join our client in Allentown, PA.

DURATION: Approximately six (6) months.

PAY RANGE: Up to $23.82 per hour.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Development of new gas flow and cryogenic equipment and instrumentation for laboratory and customer trials. Setting up and lab testing of prototype equipment related to thermal treating of metals.
- Construction and modification of heat treating furnace and/or process-related, industrial gas equipment, involving prototype, fabrication, operation and troubleshooting.
- Other responsibilities comprise maintenance and upgrades of existing lab equipment, including furnaces, flow controls, gas and cryogenic supply systems and analyzers.
- Candidate will be responsible for setting up and assisting with mechanical, electrical and metallurgical lab tests in multiple projects as well as reporting work progress on a daily and weekly basis.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED):

- Technical degree (Bachelors or Associates), data acquisition basics, and prior experience in metals heat treating are highly desired.
- Mechanical fabrication skills, including machining, welding and piping work, as well as repair and operation of basic electrical systems. Hands-on experience with industrial or cryogenic gases and related equipment.
- Two to five (2 - 5) years of work experience at a recognized technical, academic or industrial organization involving, also, an R visit our website to learn both about our company and about our leading workforce solutions
