Engineering Operations Coordinator

The ATS Coordinator is an integral member of the DCEO (Data Center Engineering Operations) team and works with Facility Managers and on site electricians to coordinate the deployment and tracking of ATSs (Automatic Transfer Switches) using the DCCM (Data Center Capacity Manager).

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Test ATSs to maintain set number for crash carts, upcoming back-feeds, and on-hand inventory
- Use the DCCM to maintain updates on ATS deployment dates, serial numbers, and circuitry information
- Coordinate shipping of ATSs to various sites
- Handle RMA's for failed ATSs
- Follow through on trouble tickets for newly deployed racks to insure integrity of information put in the DCCM
- Support the Facility Managers and EOTs in reading history/events off the ATSs
- Insure crash cart stock is constantly maintained to insure availability of ATSs for emergency replacement
- Receive and track inventory of ATSs

Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in Electrical, working in a commercial building environment.
- Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience in working around critical electrical components, ie: cords, wiring, data racks.
- Ability to accurately enter numbered data into spreadsheets
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Able to work long periods of time without sitting
- Knowledge of general safety rules when working on a construction site
- Able to work around computer equipment without disturbing components or wiring
- Some warehousing capabilities
- Some knowledge of simple inventory systems or procedures (can count and accurately report)
- Able to work independently
- Able to identify priorities and manage tasks efficiently

Preferred Qualifications
- Ideal individual, besides having some electrical experience, would have a strong background in Excel spreadsheets, with the ability to research, combine and structure data (crunch numbers and format for easy visibility).
- Although this person will handle the ATS Coordinator responsibilities, we need someone who is good at gathering and organizing statistics.
