Electronics - Test and Design - 6 months - Hampshire

A client based in Hampshire is looking for an Electronics Design/Test Engineer. This will be for a 6 months initial contract.

Role:

The candidate will be working as a electronics design Support Engineer as part of the development team to ensure that all new product introductions and enhancements meet customer and consumer expectations as well as business needs.

This role will cover all aspects of electronic engineering, including: the creating new designs, design of tests/experiments, layout of circuits, report writing, analysis of data, resolving component issues and managing design projects for existing or new products.

- Delivery of the assigned engineering programs to agreed quality, time and costs.
- The generation, management and communication of project information.
- To identify and develop test equipment.
- To make recommendations to the project team on technical solutions to improve the quality of products.
- Robust Design.
- Thorough engineering judgement in creating final design solutions.
- Test method selection.
- Component selection.
- The selection of technologies to be used in the design of electrical/electronic circuits.
- Engineering solutions for changes to existing and new product development.
- Technologies and equipment to improve product and test solutions.
- Product improvement.

Skills:

- Conceptual design.
- Electronics design experience - Altium
- Experience of analysis tools.
- Has a working knowledge of laboratory safety procedures. eg Electrical Safety at Work.
- Can perform hand component assembly. eg PCBAs and looms.
- Experience of test equipment. eg Digital Multi-meter, Oscilloscopes, Lab View.
- Experience of leading teams or senior roles.
