EHS Specialist - Comliance & Inspections (OK)

One of the world's top independent oil and gas exploration and production companies with U.S Operations in the Anadarko and Permian basins, and in and along the Gulf of Mexico, in the areas on-and offshore Texas and Louisiana is looking for a a EHS Specialist - Comlpliance & Inspections to join their team in Oklahoma to look over their Texas Panhandle and Western Oklahoma operations.

ROLE:

Functional EHS Specialist responsible for providing 24/7 operational support for operations dealing with storage tanks, compressors, leases, batteries, and separation units inspection/compliance related issues in the Texas Panhandle and Western Oklahoma region as well as enforcement of company culture and safety initiatives throughout their field operations for the Central Region.

* Monday through Monday works schedule unless vacation time is requested

* Standard daily hours- Usually, 7:00am to 5:00pm hours M-F unless there is an incident
* Occasional overnight stays if incident investigations require

* Reports Directly EH&S Manager - Central Region
* Responsibilities:

* InspectionsLeases
* Storage tanks
* Batteries
* Equipment
* Compressor Station
* Separation Units

* Participate in company meetings
* SPCC Plans
* Waste Management
* Environmental Remediation plans
* Remediations of oil and/or saltwater release affected land
* H2S monitoring
* Emergency response plans
* Field Site Audits
* Continued development and enforcement of company standards and EHS Culture
* Provide leadership to crews and field personnel

PROFILE/ REQUIREMENTS

* Minimum of 3-5 years experience
* College Degree preferred but will also consider profiles that have well established experience around dealing with the EHS aspects of operations including compressor stations, leases, separation units, and storage tanks.
* Microsoft Office
* Experience coordinating/communicating with Regulatory Agencies
* Upstream Onshore Operations
* Production Operations
* Strong understanding of Environmental and Inspections from operational aspect
* Effective Communication skills
* Mentoring skills
* Ability to write lesson plans and teach safety and environmental classes pertinent to the oil and gas industry
* Familiarity with H2S
* Willing to relocate to
