Digital Project Manager

Proteus Europe is searching for a Digital Project Manager for our client in Brussels

Our Client:-

Based in Anderlecht, Brussels, the Digital Project Manager IT, will act as the link between IT (Development Factory) and the business.

Your New role:-

He/she will be responsible for understanding and assisting in the prioritization of projects and ensuring that projects align with the technology that best provides maximum return on investment. He/she is responsible for providing softwareandsystems development leadership, guidance and oversight to all aspects of digital software projects and activities.

Key Accountabilities

- Managing the delivery and support of projects within the Digital Factory
- Enabling digital services by recommending initiatives for the continuous improvement of the organisations digital capabilities
- Work with nearshore/offshore development teams working on building new applications in any digital form (mobile apps, .net applications, websites,)
- Translate high level requirements into tangible projects.

Project Management

- Manage Digital projects (e-detail, websites, mobile applications, ) and change requests using project management principles, techniques and tools to ensure delivery on time, within budget and with the agreed quality. Project resources may include the business, suppliers and IT personnel.
- Sets priorities and coordinates the activities of a virtual team of brand managers and Regional (Marketing) managers with regards to the production and delivery of digital content.
- Track, monitor and report the progress of the digital projects in a format and frequency level adapted to all relevant target groups
- Ensure that all components of Digital systems integrate effectively and meet all regulatory and compliance guidelines
- Manage the vendor in a long-term partnership strategy and ensure the most efficiencies and added value are achieved for UCB
- Helps to set-up/improve processes and if required also SOP's with regards to Digital Factory
- Works independently and coordinates projects within Digital Factory

IT Project/portfolio Management

- The PM oversees and follows- up on status of main activities/projects
- He/she tracks, monitor and report the progress of the projects
- He/she runs demand and co-ordinate development of initial estimates for new projects and change initiatives

Relationship Management

- Build a good relationship with the different stakeholders - Business partners (CoE, Brand Managers), IT, Digital Factory vendor resources, agencies,
- Work closely with the stakeholders to understand their needs and capture the demand/pipeline
- Engage in a pro-active way with your business contacts to create awareness, interest, on new digital initiatives
- Ensure communication of progress in a format and frequency level adapted to all relevant target groups
- Lead efforts, amongst business, to increase adoption and usability of the Digital solutions
- Works independently within his domain
- Shares expertise and experiences with internal stakeholders about Digital Factory

Your Skills and experience:-

- Educated to a Master level in an IT or other, business-relevant discipline
- Recommended experience with custom development (Sharepoint and/or .NET)
- Experience with Web projects and CMS systems.
- Proven track record as functional and technical analyst within IT
- Excellent project management skills
- Excellent relationship management skills and pro-active attitude towards end users
- Organizational change management/communication skills
- Business fluent English
- Educated to a Master level in an IT or other, business-relevant discipline
- Excellent relationship management skills and pro-active attitude towards business users
- Good understanding of customer-facing sales and marketing processes and creative in applying new ideas and possibilities to enrich the digital channel
- Deep understanding of the use of Digital solutions (edetail, Web, Mobile, Campaign).
- Participated in digital engagements and used project management principles, techniques and tools (eg Prince2, Agile)
- Experienced in leading project teams
- Familiar with IT change/release management processes
- Business fluent English
