Development Manager

Seeking DEVELOPMENT MANAGER for Global Investment Bank

Our client, a Global Investment Bank is currently seeking a DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (or a very Technical IT Project Manager) to head up 10-20 Developers within their eFX Programme.

Although this is a eCommerce Platform for FX Cash the key technical challenge is driven by Low Latency and therefore experience with similar high volume/high frequency trading environments (Equities, Cash, FX Cash and HFT/Programme Trading) will be more appropriate than FX Options/Derivatives experience.

As the DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, you will be responsible for the management of multiple streams of change within FRONT OFFICE PRICING AND RISK.

Working alongside the Project Manager you will be required to cover the following technologies and initiatives:

- Software Development of Pricing Models
- Implementation of Algo Risk Management Systems
- Low latency and Co Location/ECN initiatives

As a DEVELOPMENT MANAGER/IT PROJECT MANAGER you will be responsible for managing an on-shore and off-shore development teams including several Technical Leads (Java) and liaising closely with the Design Authorities and Technical Architects to ensure the future state Archicecture blueprint is adhered to and global coding standards are adhered to and in turn implementing best practice/process.

TECHNICAL/BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

- Experience working as a DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, Lead Developer or experience working as a Technical Lead for 10+ Developers for 5+ years
- Proven Team Lead working within Front Office Trading systems
- Experience overseeing Development Methodologies (Agile/Scrum/Waterfall)
- Java (A MUST), Solaris, Linux, RMDS, 29 West, SQL, Coherence
- Low latency/High Frequency Trading systems
- Front Office Trading Desk experience within FX (or Equities Cash)
- Front Office Trading Risk management in FX
