Deskside Support Team Leader-Brisbane

An international managed service company are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Team Manager to provide IT services in a billable project/engagement and manage a team of Desktop Technicians.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- 5 + years as a Desktop Team Leader
- Provide Team Leadership to a group of technical staff
- Implementation of network/security infrastructure, the resolution of network faults and work to guarantee that third party systems are deployed and managed.
- Respond to and resolve requests for IT assistance from computer users in a timely fashion.
- As directed by the Technical Services Manager, install, configure and maintain network based applications and systems, including Active Directory Services, DNS, DHCP, MS Exchange Email, Backups, VMWare, Anti-Virus, File & Print Servers, Application Servers (Email & Document Storage), Print Servers, and Terminal Servers and other core network based applications and services.
- Provide the SLA report and chair the SLA meeting on a regular basis
- Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure that systems perform optimally.
- Monitor and report the performance and availability of systems.
- Maintain comprehensive operations documentation.
- An understanding and ability to communicate the standards to the business entities is an important component of the role.
