Deskside Support Specialist (Secret Clearance)

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a DESKSIDE SUPPORT TECHNICIAN to join our client in Crane, IN.

POSSESSION OF AN ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED AS A CONDITION FOR EMPLOYMENT.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Desktop support technician position supporting Government contract PC's running Windows XP and Windows 7.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- A college degree is not required, though having a degree in a related field would be beneficial.
- Prior experience supporting customers in a military environment are preferred.
- Potential candidate should be very familiar with both operating systems and have significant experience in the IT field with prior employers.
- Final Secret or better clearance (interim clearance is not sufficient).
- Security + Certified
- Advanced Knowledge and Experience with Microsoft products (specifically XP and Windows
- Advanced Knowledge of a "Commercial Off The Shelf" (COTS) ticketing system (preferably Remedy or Heat). Please note that all technicians will be trained on HP Service Manager (SM7)
- Knowledge of printers (network and stand-alone, multiple vendors and types).
- Exceptional customer support skills.
- Able to work autonomously (with minimal direction).
- Able to quickly identify and resolve issues and follow set escalation paths when/if required
- Additional requirements to be defined by the hiring manager as required to support the contract.
